Jakarta, January 26, 2026 — The Head of the Master of Animal Husbandry Study Program at Diponegoro University, Semarang, Dr. Ir. Cahya Setya Utama, S.Pt., M.Sc., IPM, attended the 2026 Patriot Scholarship Partner Study Program Coordination Meeting organized by the Ministry of Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta.
This event was attended by seven partner national universities: the University of Indonesia, IPB University, Padjadjaran University, Gadjah Mada University, Diponegoro University, Bandung Institute of Technology, and Sepuluh November Institute of Technology. The coordination meeting aimed to align the partner curriculum and study programs with the development needs of transmigration areas.

On the occasion, the Minister of Transmigration of the Republic of Indonesia, M. Iftitah Sulaiman Suryangara, emphasized that the 2026 Patriot Scholarship is designed to produce superior human resources oriented towards job creation, not job seekers. This program is part of the human resource development strategy in transmigration areas to create a new, inclusive and sustainable economic ecosystem.
“The Patriot Scholarship is not for job seekers, but for job creators. We need superior human resources who can recognize the potential of transmigration areas and transform it into a source of livelihood for the community,” said the Minister of Transmigration at the opening of the event.

The coordination meeting discussed the suitability of study programs with the three main locations of the Patriot Scholarship: the transmigration areas of Rempang, Mamuju, and Salor, which have significant potential in the industrial, agricultural, maritime, and mining sectors. The Director of Transmigration Community Empowerment (PMT), Bondan Djati Utami, explained that the Patriot Scholarship selection process will be conducted rigorously through two stages: selection by partner universities and selection by the Ministry of Transmigration, taking into account the academic, physical, and mental aspects of participants.

Support was also expressed by partner universities. The Head of the Master of Animal Husbandry Study Program at Diponegoro University Semarang, Cahya Setya Utama, emphasized his institution’s commitment to producing graduates capable of initiating businesses and creating jobs in transmigration areas through a relevant and applicable curriculum.
Through synergy between the government and universities, the 2026 Patriot Scholarship is expected to produce a generation of Transmigration Patriots who will become driving forces for development and reduce inequality between regions.
