Research is an essential part of the Master’s program for students to produce scientific work (publications/scientific journals) and a thesis. In addition to conducting independent research (funded personally or through scholarships), Master of Animal Science students can also participate in faculty research projects or collaborative research with various institutions or private companies.
The Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences at UNDIP provides several facilities and policies to support research and scientific article writing for its Master of Animal Science students, including:
- International-standard research and laboratory facilities
- Guidance and mentorship from lecturers with extensive international research and publication experience
- Support from experienced lab technicians during research and analysis
- Both offline and online libraries (with free access to international journals) to assist with finding scientific references
- A manuscript clinic and coaching for scientific article writing by the management team of the “Journal of the Indonesian Tropical Animal Agriculture” (an international Scopus-indexed journal managed by the Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences at UNDIP) for publication in international journals
- Financial assistance for publication in reputable international journals authored by Master of Animal Science students at UNDIP
- Collaboration with various research institutions, both domestic and international
