Semarang, February 13, 2026 – The Head of the Master of Animal Science Study Program at the University of Papua, Dr. Ir. Elvira Suawa, M.Sc.Agr, conducted a benchmarking visit to the Master of Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University, Semarang, on Friday (February 13). This visit was a strategic step in improving academic quality and strengthening the program’s accreditation status.

The University of Papua representatives were welcomed by the Head of the Master of Animal Science Study Program at Diponegoro University, Dr. Ir. Cahya Setya Utama, S.Pt, M.Si., IPM, in the Master of Animal Science Study Program Room, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University.

During the meeting, Dr. Cahya presented a range of information, including curriculum design and implementation, new student admission strategies, and accelerated graduation programs. The discussion also covered the technical aspects of thesis writing and publication in scientific journals, as well as several other services that will provide constructive input for improving the accreditation status of study programs.

“This activity is expected to provide tangible benefits for the development and improvement of the academic quality of study programs at both universities,” said Dr. Cahya.

In addition to the formal discussion, the delegation from the University of Papua also directly visited various educational support facilities within the Faculty of Animal Husbandry (FPP) Undip. The field visit included a tour of the laboratory and research facilities (Animal Research and Teaching Farm).
Through this collaboration, both parties hope to forge closer cooperation, particularly in the areas of research and human resource development. This synergy aims to advance the livestock sector, both in Papua and nationally.
