Based on the results of the assessment of the Indonesian Research and Innovation Fair (IRIFair) Jury held by the Directorate of Talent Management, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), one of the students of the Master of Animal Science Study Program, FPP UNDIP, was selected to be one of the finalists at IRIFair in 2023. With title of the invention “Design of a Sex Detector Based on Magnetic Field Values in Cow Foetus”, student named Mawakia Anwar will take part in the exhibition and judging which will take place at BRIN.
The invention proposed by Mawakia Anwar is expected to be able to detect the sex of cow fetuses while they are still pregnant. Supervised by Dr. Daud Samsudewa (Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture UNDIP) and Dr. Jatmiko Endro Suseno (Faculty of Science and Mathematics UNDIP), this invention has also been submitted for a patent to the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) of the Republic of Indonesia.
