The curriculum is a set of plans and arrangements regarding objectives, content, and teaching materials as well as the methods used as guidelines for organizing learning activities to achieve certain educational goals. A good curriculum is a curriculum that is aligned with the needs of the world of work. In this case the curriculum is not static, but the curriculum needs to be adjusted or developed according to the needs of the existing world of work.

To ensure the relevance of the implemented curriculum to the current (and future) needs of the world of work, in December 2022 the Department of Animal Scinece, Faculty of Animal and Agricultural Sciences Diponegoro University held a curriculum review workshop for the study program within the Department of Animal Science. As part of the Department of Animal Science, Masters of Animal Science Masters Program also carries out curriculum review activities. Apart from the workshops attended by lecturers and students, the curriculum review also involved the active role of stakeholders which was carried out on separate occasions. Present at the meeting were several representatives from companies and government agencies using alumnae of Masters of Animal Science Masters Study Program. Input and suggestions from lecturers, students and stakeholders were then followed up by a small team formed based on the Decree of the Dean Faculty

Small teams met in marathons to discuss a number of issues based on input and suggestions recorded during workshops with lecturers, students and stakeholders that had been held previously. It is hoped that the results of the small team discussion will be able to formulate and develop a curriculum for the Masters in Animal Sciences that is more relevant and can answer the challenges of the world of work today and in the future.
