Community service is an activity that aims to help the community, especially community groups in the livestock sector (livestock farmer groups) in several activities without expecting any form of reward. The Master of Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University encourages and provides opportunities for all students to carry out community service activities both independently and participate in service activities carried out by lecturers. In addition to being able to actualize the knowledge gained in college, students can also help provide solutions and make a real contribution to the progress and welfare of the community through these service activities. Students of the Master of Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University can also see problems and business opportunities in the livestock sector.
On November 3, 2021, several students of the Master of Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University were involved in community service activities organized by the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University in collaboration with the Agriculture and Food Office of Kudus Regency, Central Java. Located in Wonorejo Village, Jekulo District, Kudus Regency, the students of the Master of Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University together with lecturers from the Master of Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University provided counseling and technical guidance to goat farmers in the village.
“Biosecurity program on goat farms” and “healthy cage program for goat farms” were materials presented by the team (lecturers and students) from the Master of Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University to a group of goat breeders located in Wonorejo Village, Jekulo District. , Kudus Regency. Direct visits to goat farmers in Wonorejo Village, Jekulo District, Kudus Regency were not only carried out once, but periodic technical guidance was also carried out by the student team of the Master of Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, Diponegoro University to goat farmers in the Kudus area.
